make your own crayons

We made crayons this afternoon. We took the old broken scrappy pieces of crayons that were loitering around the bottom of our crayon stash and gave them a new life. This is my favorite way to recycle and keep the precious ones quiet for an hour or so.
You need: crayons, silicone mold, oven.
Directions: Peel the paper off the crayons and break into smaller pieces. I like to chop the small pieces into even smaller shavings with a big knife. Place crayon pieces in silicone molds. Bake at 250 for 20 or 25 minutes. Let cool completely, pop out and done! This is a fast and easy project.
